Adding a new goldendoodle puppy to your home is a major decision that you should question extensively. The following are the most frequently asked questions we’ve been heard during the last decade of producing the perfect companions, but if you have any questions not addressed here please feel free to reach out to us. We’d love to help!
The first step is contacting us to let us know your preference of litter and sex, if any.
Upon confirming the availability of your desired litter or puppy we will send you a deposit invoice via Paypal or Venmo for $300 to hold your spot for picks in that litter or the individual puppy (if picks have already been made). This deposit amount goes towards the remaining balance due when your puppy goes home.
The health of puppies is our number one priority at Goldenfido and due to this we offer an unprecedented 3 year health guarantee. On top of our health guarantee, we’re available for our families for life. Whether you need guidance on anything from puppy training to senior dog care we’ll be here for you!
Often times, clients looking for specific traits place deposits for a puppy before it is even born. To allow everyone to get a chance to see the differences in the puppies’ coats, colors, and personalities we wait until they are 5 weeks old before requiring clients to make their selection. Deposit holders will make their picks in the order that deposits are placed.
For example: You place a deposit for the 3rd pick female from a litter with 5 females. The person who placed the first female deposit for 1st pick female makes their selection out of all 5 females. The 2nd pick female deposit holder will then choose from the remaining 4 female puppies. After 2nd pick has chosen, you will make your selection out of the remaining 3 females.
If you are unable to meet the puppies in person we will be happy to send you multiple pictures or video.
Since 2013 we have exclusively bred medium to standard size F1 & F1b Goldendoodles. Our puppies, depending on parents, range in size from 45-65 lbs as adults. Please let us know if you want have a specific size (in this range) and we will be happy to recommend the appropriate parents.
Yes, as long as weather permits. We do not fly puppies if the temperatures are below 45 or above 85 at any airport the puppy will stop at. We ship nationwide from Shreveport Regional Airport, this generally cost about $450, but we would be happy to get you a specific quote.
We also can offer the service of a flight nanny to hand deliver your new puppy. Prices will vary due to location. We will provide a flight nanny quote per request.
An F1 goldendoodle is a cross between a Standard Poodle and a Golden Retriever. Genetically they are 50% of each parent breed. The F1 goldendoodle will more closely resemble the golden retriever with a blockier head and a generally more wavy coat vs a curly one.
An F1b Goldendoodle is the offspring of an F1 goldendoodle and a Standard Poodle. This makes their genetic makeup primarily poodle at 75% Poodle & 25% Golden Retriever. Taking from their poodle genetics, they generally have a curlier more allergy friendly coat.
We would be glad to set an appointment for you to come out and meet any of our adult goldendoodles before making the decision if a goldendoodle is right for. Due tot he risk of illness our puppy meet and greets are reserved only for deposit holders. Please contact us for availability.
